Małgorzata Markiewicz
Małgorzata Markiewicz (1979) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and completed a post-graduate course at the Konstfack University in Stockholm.
She creates objects, decorative fabrics and installations, she does photography.
In her works, she deals with issues related to gender identity, cultural roles and the position of women in society.
The artist's exhibitions took place, among others, in MOCAK (Krakow, 2015), Botkyrka Konsthall (Stockholm, 2013), Matadero (Madrid, 2013), Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle (Warsaw, 2011), Turf Gallery (London, 2007), Arsenał Gallery (Poznań, 2005), Zachęta National Gallery of Art(Warsaw, 2004).
