Marnie Weber
Marnie Weber (1959) is an American visual and multimedia artist, photographer, sculptor, musician and performer.
In her works, she deals with topics related to spiritism, magic and the subconscious, but also sex, drugs and death. She explores anthropomorphization of animals, creates grotesque worlds inhabited by hybrids, existing in the sphere between fantasy and reality.
Her solo exhibitions took place, among others, at Simon Lee Gallery (London, 2019), MAMCO Musée d'art moderne et contemporain (Geneva, 2016), Cardi Black Box (Milan, 213), Palais de Tokyo (Paris, 2011), Emily Tsingou Gallery (London, 2009) , Fredericks & Freiser Gallery (New York, 2002).
